Shortly after moving to New Jersey from Minnesota in 1999, Ms. Grew heard about the SCEEP/DEEP-C program and volunteered as a tutor since she had extensive volunteer experience in the Mid-West. She quickly rose to become Coordinator at Chatham Township Presbyterian Church which she continued until 2006.
She finished her Associates Degree at Union College in Liberal Arts/Urban Studies and did an internship under William “Chip” Madsen in her Junior year. She came on board at PCCI as Program Director in 2005 while finishing her Bachelor’s Degree at Montclair State University.
Ms. Grew has received certification from the Association for Children of New Jersey (ACNJ) in child advocacy as well as in Resource Development from the United Way of Greater Essex and Union Counties. She is a member of ACNJ as well as a big sister in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program of New Jersey. Other interests include volunteering, softball, volleyball, outdoors, hiking, dancing, poetry, and music. |
