The Building Blocks of Success
CAC of NJ directs and oversees the operations of three separately-incorporated nonprofit agencies: Protestant Community Centers, Inc.(PCCI); Friendly Fuld Neighborhood Centers, Inc. (FFNC) and Cross Counter, Inc. (CCI)

Founded in 1904 by Rabbi Solomon Foster as a nursery for working parents, Friendly Fuld Neighborhood Centers, (FFNC) has continued to serve working families in Newark New Jersey's Central Ward for the past century without interruption. Through its child care, Head Start, recreation and employment readiness and training programs, FFNC provides vital support and encouragement to more than 400 struggling families every year.

Founded in the mid-1960's, Cross Counters, Inc., (CCI) operates two of New Jersey's oldest and most successful residential group homes for young men and women who have been identified as being at risk of suffering abuse, abandonment or neglect. The two group homes serve twenty-four young men and women who range in age from twelve to eighteen.
