Protestant Community Centers, Inc. (PCCI) has been changing lives one person at a time for over 40 years. Founded in 1965, PCCI runs programs with volunteer partners from across New Jersey. Our mission is to provide education, literacy training, and recreation activities to disadvantaged children and their families.

Protestant Community Centers, Inc. works with hundreds of volunteers to create linkages between urban and suburban communities. PCCI touches the lives of more than 1,500 children ranging in age from six to eighteen each year.

Today PCCI continues to provide a wide range of services to children and families in the poorest neighborhoods of Newark. Our focus is on educational and enrichment programs for children and their families. PCCI's unique programs connect suburban communities, corporate employees and inner city children through relationships between people of different backgrounds, ages, religions and economic means. Our volunteers appreciate the opportunity to develop one-on-one relationships with those they serve.
