Through the support of trained care givers and volunteers, and with the assistance of local churches and civic organizations, Tillmes House residents are able to move on to more permanent placement with relatives, foster families or permanent residence facilities.

The average length of stay is between 30-90 days.  The maximum capacity is twelve girls at any one time.

While at Tillmes House, the residents are provided with a safe and home-like environment with the necessary support services to assist them in the adjustment to out-of-home placement.  The girls enjoy an abundance of care and support through the volunteer network of church organizations, civic organizations and individual volunteers who provide in-kind services and financial support to the shelter.  In addition, volunteers arrange and participate in special activities with the residents both at and outside of the facility.
