This year was a banner year for children attending overnight camps in New Jersey and New York as well as our
Peace Camps in Newark and Elizabeth. Thanks to individuals and organizations, children who would otherwise
spend the summer on the hot streets of Newark or in front of a television are able to enjoy swimming, boating, hik-ing, horseback riding, field games and creating original arts and crafts projects in a safe and nurturing outdoor environment.

The generosity of our donors made it possible for every child who wanted to go to camp, to go. Three
Donors deserve special mention this year for raising money to send these kids to camp. The New York Mercantile
Exchange donated $15,000; Glen Ridge Congregational Church raised $7,750 and the Community Church of
Mountain Lakes raised $4,000. More individual donors than ever before also made this a special summer for our children.
With this newsletter, we are launching a new effort to communicate more often with our friends via the Internet.
We plan to send 3 or 4 “virtual newsletters” each year updating you on significant events.
